Bocce Ball Lawn Game is a game played with nine balls. There are eight large balls and one smaller ball used in the game. The smaller ball is the target, technically referred to as the Ballina. This game is made up of two teams. Each team is given four balls. Based on the number of players on the team, each person is given one, two, or four balls. The minimum number of players per team is one. There could be two or four players in a team as well. When there are multiple players in the group, the same sequence of players playing is maintained throughout the game.
At the toss of a coin, the winning team chooses if they want to toss at the Ballina first or if they want to select the color of the balls. The Ballina is then rolled or tossed by the toss-winning team member, and it can be tossed any distance within the court boundaries and past the center line.
The tossing player delivers the first ball. The next team delivers the next ball. This continues till all the balls are exhausted. When all the balls are exhausted, it marks the end of the frame, and the points are awarded based on the balls closest to the pallina. Games are played for 16 points. The first team that reaches 16 points wins. If the ball is out of court boundaries, it is considered out of play.
