Moon Patrol Classic Arcade Game rental is another relic from the past of shooting video games. Moon Patrol is an 80s arcade game released by Irem company in 1982. Gameplay was the beginning of parallax scrolling in video games.
The game places the player in a fictional city Luna City which is a hub for the “toughest thugs in the galaxy.” Here the player controls a moon buggy that travels on the surface of the moon. While driving it, the player will encounter caters and aliens that need to be shot down to proceed successfully in the game.
Moon Patrol Classic Arcade Game has several courses that are marked with English Alphabets. Each alphabet is a checkpoint, and once you reach one checkpoint, the player gets diverted to a new direction. The screen displays a timeline-style map of the course that also highlights the five major inspections. Three light indicators alert the player of an upcoming aerial attack (Top Light) and minefield (Middle light).
Successful completion of each stage in the game gives the player 5000 bonus points and makes the player eligible for Championship Course. The championship course has loops forever and is numbered to make the player aware of several laps completed.
